The first outing of helmet cam — my elph camera mounted on a gorilla pod and latched onto the top of my bike helmet. I ride along the river every morning, and thought it would be nice to share it with everyone in the States who don’t have the same opportunity I do to enjoy it’s beauty. Maybe next time I’ll figure out a way to stabilise the camera…

Proof that if you don’t finish the last piece of pizza and set it out with your recycling instead of properly putting it in rubbish bin, homeless people aren’t the only thing that will come after your leftovers! The possum that frequents our back yard scored bigtime with some Domino’s supreme last night
I’ve made several comments about the birds in Australia being abundant — never before has that reality been more apparent. There’s a tree in the back yard that has recently produced huge numbers of tiny berries. Each afternoon, all the lorikeets in the area flock to our yard and have a feast. What I’ve come to learn is that the berries are like a drug for the voracious avians and that in truth they’re spending the afternoon getting completely wasted. Much like people when they’re drunk, the birds make a lot of noise, and spend around 4 hours sqawking so much that you can hear them from blocks away. I snapped a few photos just so everyone who’s not lucky enough to have this sort of tree in their yard can see just how crazy these little birdies are.
