I never realised that swooping magpies were such a menace to cyclists. Sure, there are plenty of riders around that have ridiculous-looking projections from their helmets to deter swooping… I guess I should have paid more attention to the real-life attacks that have been happening. I was caught without my helmet, and now realise that these nasty birds mean serious business!
